Susan O’Neill is the pen name for Susan Thornburg.

She graduated from Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois with a Bachelor of Arts degree in both Psychology and History in 2006. She is the mother of two daughters and two sons. Her career spanned the banking, industrial and social service fields. For ten years she partnered with her husband in Ohio and West Virginia running a management consulting firm for smaller industries. After her divorce in 2002, she returned to the Chicago area where she worked for Trinity Services as a Job Coach while she earned her college diploma. She retired from Case Management for Grand Prairie Services in southern Cook and Will counties in Illinois in 2010.

Her passion for history in all its facets spurred her to complete Life Song: An Irish Odyssey, her debut novel. It has been well received in print and Kindle versions, with two five-star ratings on Amazon. A book signing is planned for the first quarter of 2017 at Barnes and Noble. The second of the series is in process and the research progresses nicely as well. Susan is an active member of the Gulf Coast Writers Association in Fort Myers, Florida.
